Test Scanner Settings

Testing your profile

The most important thing you do after selecting profile options is to test your settings! This will make sure that your scanner is responding to the selections and that your software will behave as you expect it to when you click the scan button.

The test screen looks like this:

Testing your selection

When you start the test, the scanner will be initialized with whatever settings you have selected on the current profile tab.

If you have the progress indicator enabled, you should see it as the scan progresses.

When the scan is complete and the image is returned to the Scan Manager, it will be displayed in the viewer.

You can see the scanned page in different views with these buttons:

Zoom to width - displays the image zoomed to the page width against the viewer (warning - a small scan such as a business card might be enlarged in this view)

Zoom to height - displays the image zoomed to the page height against the viewer

Zoom 100% - displays the image without being zoomed in the viewer

There is also a Reset Scanner button. This button shuts down the software interface to the scanner and restarts it. This can be useful if you have a scanner interface that will not close when you complete a scan (or cancel from one).
