The first thing to note is that not all details have to be recorded. You can enter as much or as little information as you wish.
The first step is to decide whether the item is a Product or Service. In the example below we have decided to add a product.
The next step is to decide whether the product item is a Sub Item. For example if the main product item is Dressing but you wish to filter it down to a certain type of product, e.g. a dressing, then click the Sub Item radio button and type in Medication This procedure can be repeated, i.e. Dressing can now be filtered further to Cream as per the example below:-
If you set up your items in this way they will be available for automatic selection when invoicing. A great deal of the information that you enter on the item screen is used automatically in the invoicing area of the system.
When Quickbooks Integration is switched on then items will be filtered by Class. |
