Activating Multi User

Top  Previous  Next

In order to switch on Multi User two things must happen. You must have purchased a multi user license. There are various plans available depending on the number of users you need on the system. Once you have purchased and installed the license the Multi User Mode check box will become available in the Preferences/General area.

Note: This will be disabled once Multi User has been activated to prevent it being switched off!

You should also only set up Multi User on the master machine first. DO NOT attempt to set this up on any other machine until it is fully working on the master machine.

Replicate Option Switch

At this stage you must have read and understood all of this help file. You must understand what Multi User will do, why it does it, what the implications are and have set up a strategy of operation.

Finally, you must have made a permanent backup of both your program and data files before proceeding as this process will modify the structure of your data which cannot be retrieved. In the event of any failures you will need to be in a position to restore your information.

So having clicked in the Multi User check box you will now be taken through a series of confirmation messages. You can halt the process at any of the first 3 stages.
