Dropdown Box

Drop down boxes provide an exceptionally easy and foolproof way of entering information that you wish to use frequently and you wish the system to recognise.

The drop down box is instantly recognisable by the black down arrow to the right of the box. The example above shows a list of colours that have already been entered onto the system. If we type in G, the first item beginning with G is entered into the box. Using smart key technology we can reach the item we require almost instantly. Once you have the required item, continue processing the remainder of the form in the normal way.

Well all we need to do is continue to type what we require. The blue highlighting will disappear and once complete press the TAB button.

The drop down box now recognises this as a new item and prompts to add the new entry as shown below.
